Taking place at DAS|DAGA on Wednesday, 19 March, 16:00 in room 20.

The upcoming conference will again include a competition that is both entertaining and scientifically sound.
For this competition, all DAS|DAGA authors are invited to present their research - in addition to the usual conference presentation - in a five-minute talk.

Application deadline: March 19, 2025

The content of the presentation should be based on your own research work, no matter whether it is in the context of a professorship, consultancy work or a thesis, such as a Bachelor's thesis. The aim is a combination of easily comprehensible, entertaining and compelling scientific content. Whether funny or just nicely presented - anything will do.

The best presentations will be awarded with special prizes.

Your presentation will be evaluated by a jury according to the following criteria:

• Entertaining
• Comprehensible for all
• Scientifically correct

Please note the following guidelines for participation:

• one speaker per presentation
• Maximum of 3 Power Point or PDF slides
• Accessories allowed
• Technical/scientific presentation (Science Communication, like https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-psiu5bOBHI)
• in English

There are 15 spots available. Application with a concise title of the presentation by email to shorts(at)das-daga2025.eu by March 19, 2025 (latest 2h before the event).

If you prefer to give your presentations spontaneously, you might feel more at home with Power Point Karaoke. You get 3 slides on an unknown topic and can cheerfully explain what groundbreaking scientific finding it reveals.
